Learn English Today’s world is more global and for this reason it is necessary to speak English.
We do not know for certain how many people speak English in the world, but we do know that it is the language used in communications, international business and in tourism services. Some scholars consider the English language to be the second most spoken language in the world. One of every five persons can speak at least some English. A native speaker knows between 12 and 20 thousand words, although in daily conversation most people use between 1500 and 2000 words. Only those people of the stature of Shakespeare use 30,000. The program of studies at HERRERA LANGUAGE SCHOOL is composed of three levels, at four months per level. It is evident that Englih has more sounds than the Spanish language. For this reason we work with phonetics in a very effective manner, so that our students develop perfect pronunciation. The system is a conversational one. Daily dialogs containing our program are used, which are acted out. In this way, we assist our students to think in English and lose their fear of speaking. Upon completion of the course, students will master a vocabulary of almost two thousand words, which should be enough to become part of our international economic activity with a good level of oral and written communication. Learn Spanish Spanish is the third most spoken language in the world.
Spanish classes are generally given on an individual basis or in small groups of three or five people. In Mexico, the largest Spanish-speaking country in the world, speaking Spanish is a must, even in tourist areas where many people speak English and other languages. Many foreigners living in Mexico are businesspersons or executive from prestigious international companies who oftentimes do not have the time to go to a school or take a course. But HERRERA LANGUAGE SCHOOL has highly qualified academic personnel, professors who have graduated from Mexican universities with many years of experience, and we will adapt ourselves to meet your needs. We also offer specialized courses to advanced students from European, American and Asian universities. We strengthen their grammatical weaknesses and guarantee excellent test results. Learn Japanese If you want to form part of the dynamic modern world, that every day is more global due to third millennium cybernetic communication, of the enormous network of international business or of academic educational excellence, then you should begin the study of the Japanese language.
a) Every year 65000 Japanese tourists visit our area, the majority of which do not speak English. b) We have had a free trade agreement with Japan since 2004. c) Only 130 million people in the world speak Japanese, of which 127.4 million live in Japan. In the year 2006, there were only 6351 Japanese language students, 257 teachers and 79 schools in all of Mexico. The demand is growing, however, and each year, the population of students grows by 70% (probably spurred by the great acceptance of Japanese anime and manga cartoons. 70% of students and 50% of Japanese schools are concentrated in five of the 22 states in the country where Japanese is studied. HERRERA LANGUAGE SCHOOL was the first Japanese language school established in Cancun, and since 1999, it has the support of the Japan Foundation. This Japanese government organization holds the official Japanese language exam the first Sunday in December each year all over the world. People who receive passing scores receive an internationally valid certificate of proficiency. At least 90% of HERRERA LANGUAGE SCHOOL students pass this exam. The course program consists of four levels. From the first day of class, students learn to simultaneously write in hiragana and katakana. After several lessons, students begin to lean kanji (characters of Chinese origin). Everto Herrera Batista, founder and director of the HERRERA LANGUAGE SCHOOL, studied Japanese in Tokyo in 1980. He has taught Japanese language courses in this school and in different companies since 1989. In 1999, he took the first Japanese language teacher’s course offered by the Japan Foundation in Mexico in Mexico City. Today he is the author of the Manual for Japanese in the Hotel Industry (2005).
